The announcement by Prime Minister François Fillon's postponement of the carbon tax is "bad news", said on France Inter M.Rocard, who was held in July 2009 a conference of experts on carbon tax.

"But it will one day," he added, because "no one will still not leave the planet slowly becoming a frying pan in which life becomes impossible."

"This is a vital threat to life on the planet" and "within ten years, for people who fall behind in the fight" against global warming, "we speak of crimes against the humanity, "he warned.

On Tuesday, former Prime Minister was deemed "not very courageous" by the government to stop implementing the carbon tax as planned on 1 July.
