European markets up, Paris is 6.16% in one week

European shares finished higher for the fourth consecutive session, despite fears expressed by some analysts see a recovery in equity markets to end soon in Europe.

The Paris Bourse closed up 0.46% to 3554.48 points.For the week, the benchmark index of the Paris market gained 6.16%, its largest weekly increase in a year, as the index of key values that European FTSEurofirst was up 5.4%.

Bank stocks were among the main winners of the week with an increase of nearly 10% for the grouping Stoxx European banks, after a gain of 0.7% Friday.

The mining stocks have benefited from higher metal prices and hopes of strong Chinese imports and strong quarterly results from the aluminum giant Alcoa on Monday.

Anglo American, BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and Xstrata rose by 0.41 to 3.22%.
